Selection of Thread for Embroidery

The choice of thread is done with cloth pattern, color, samples cloth, etc. When choosing different threads, they are chosen to suit each other. Usually the silk thread is used on cotton and silk fabrics. In the market, thread is available in cones and chains in the open condition. Often it is also sold on weight basis.

The thread may consists of single wire or six wire/layers. For Embroidery, generally six layers thread is used. If a bright effect is needed to apply, use a metal wire. Metal wire is found in different colors, you may find according to your need and requirements.
